You don't really need to ever shut your Mac off, if you don't need to. You may see something more important, if you leave your Mac on, and simply make it sleep when you are not actually using your Mac. It's been powered on for just over 2 hours. Your Mac is under almost no load - not doing very much. Quitting that app may quickly cause the temperatures drop, and fans slow back to the normal low hum, and life is good - because your Mac is responding normally… And, after checking in iStat menus - you can tell why that's happening. If you have no questions, or you are not having any issues with performance of your Mac hardware, and your software is also working without problems, then you can certainly say that you have no need for that kind of monitoring software - and you can be comfortable about removing it forever, and moving on with your life (which you can now say is good )Īnd, you can monitor all of that at once, leaving it on the screen, so you can (for example) see very easily that the new app that you just installed (for editing videos, again for example) takes almost all of your memory just to run, and makes your Mac heat up very quickly, and you end up hearing the cooling fans running at full speed. All of those can be used to give you an idea about a cause of problems that users might have. The iStat menu app will not only show those, but can give other details about system load and memory use. Some users may want to use iStat menus to monitor internal temperatures or fan speed. How does one read this APP stats ? What to interpret out of the stats Like for e.g I have attached this screenshot that I have taken of APP when running on my machine. I think if someone here tells me how this works and is useful I may have this on my Mac or else I will just save my money. I really fail to understand how and what one can use this APP !! I Wrote to the Developer but no response from them so far. Ok, I have got these stat from this APP now what ? Looking at the stats do the APP developer or anyone expects that I should stop doing whatever I am doing and Quit what ever I am doing as this APP is suggesting something. Now I fail to understand of doing this exercise. I just got installed it on my Macbook and I wonder what is the real need ? or what it actually does ?It is supposed to tell you the temp of your Machine and what the CPU is doing. Ok, So a lot of people I have seen here recommending each other or just saying that they use this APP iStat Menus in their Macbook.
